Sheila Streeter, LPN
Operations Manager
Biography
I was born and raised in the central Berkshires and followed my husband (then a student at UMass Amherst) to the Pioneer Valley in 1978.
I came to work at NAP in 1991. I was the first nurse to work evening hours and helped to define that position. Since then my role has changed many times, to assistant head nurse, charge nurse, clinical manager and now to Operations Manager. Under my current title, I oversee the day-to-day running of both the Amherst and Northampton offices. I perform human resources for the office, I oversee staff training (both for new staff and to keep the current staff up-to-date), and I'm responsible for staff scheduling. I am also one of the experts on immunizations, which is always challenging, given the introduction of many new vaccines in recent years.
My husband Jim and I have been married for 30 years and have raised 3 sons and a daughter. We retired as parents in 2008 when our youngest graduated from high school, got married and joined the marines! Now we are raising 5 cats and 8 chickens. I enjoy reading, writing, all kinds of crafts and walks in the woods.
