I was born in Maryland and grew up in Maine, so the Northeast is where my heart is located. Living in Brunswick, Maine gave me that first taste of being part of a town with a wonderful community feel.  I loved how connected everyone was. I respected and admired just how involved my own pediatrician was in the community.  I grew to be interested in medicine, and even more in the relationships with families and the impact I could make as a pediatrician.
I attended Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania and then I made my way to Massachusetts where I researched HIV screening methods and attended Tufts University School of Medicine. There I was lucky enough to take part in a longitudinal integrated clerkship, which meant I was able to see my patients for multiple visits and really get to know them. I was struck by the strength of the relationships that my supervising doctors had cultivated with their patients and the insight that this gave them in delivering the best care possible. These wonderful relationships helped me see that primary care and pediatrics are where my true passions lie.
After seeing the high quality of care that Northampton Area Pediatrics patients receive, I was fortunate to find an opening at NAP following completion of my residency at Baystate Medical Center. I’m excited to settle into and get to know Northampton. It reminds me of Brunswick, but I know Northampton has a life all its own. I’m looking forward to hitting the hiking trails and stopping by every farmer’s market I can find. If you spot me on the street walking my new puppy Zoey, or at the Eric Carle museum with my niece and nephew, please feel free to say hi!
