Northampton Area Pediatrics

Northampton Area Pediatrics is a provider's office with eight pediatricians serving infants, children, and adolescents. The Northampton Area Pediatrics practice has two office locations set in the heart of the Pioneer Valley. Our original pediatric office is in Northampton, while our second office is in Amherst, Massachusetts.

The goal of all the providers and staff at Northampton Area Pediatrics is to provide excellent health care to each infant, child and adolescent that we serve. To give this level of excellent care, we rely heavily upon information provided by parents and the children themselves. Open and comfortable communication between concerned parents and pediatricians is essential to keep children thriving and healthy. Parenting is a tough job and we encourage the parents of our patients to see us as partners and resources in the health and raising of their child. There are absolutely no silly questions when it comes to your child's health, so please ask!

To best serve our patients, Northampton Area Pediatrics is open seven days a week, 365 days a year. Normal, well-child checkups, as well as illness visits, are scheduled during the weekdays. However, we provide weekend and evening hours for acutely sick children, or children with emergencies, to be seen immediately.

Doctor Peter Kenny founded our pediatric office in 1978. Since then, we have been at the forefront of bringing the best possible medical care to children in a rapidly changing world. The providers and staff adhere to the highest medical standards and take advantage of new technologies as they become available. For instance, Northampton Area Pediatrics was one of the first pediatric offices in the United States to become fully computerized. One of the major benefits of the computer system is that it allows a child's provider more time to listen to patients and parents, answer questions, and address concerns. To learn more about some of the features of our provider's office, explore the exam room page.
