Although
I was born in Rhode Island, Port Washington, New York was my home
from infancy through young adulthood. My formative interests ranged
from math and science to the performing arts (piano, singing, and
musical theater) and painting.
During my college years at Princeton University,
I pursued a degree in psychology. I have never strayed far from
my Northeastern roots, attending college at New Jersey, medical
school in Philadelphia, and residency in Providence, Rhode Island.
Following residency, I worked as the Urgent Care
Physician for Hasbro Children's Hospital Emergency Department before
joining NAP.
What brings me to Northampton? My husband, also
a native New Yorker, fell in love with the Pioneer Valley while
attending Hampshire College, and aside from his time in Providence
where he accompanied me through residency, he has lived here ever
since. It was fortuitous that just as we were looking to transition
back to Northampton, an opening was available at NAP. Northampton
presents a perfect blend of culture and nature, relaxation and excitement.
I love pediatrics because, although its intellectual
dimensions involve science and diagnosis, its heart lies with
children and families. Consistently I am impressed and amazed by
your children and I feel fortunate to be a part of your lives.
