PETER KENNY, MD
In 1978, I began a solo practice of what was to become Northampton Area Pediatrics. I was fortunate to be joined in the early years of practice by Dr. Robert Bissell and Dr. Catherine Bartlett . Our medical group has continued to grow since then with additional excellent pediatricians and dedicated nurse practitioners joining us over the years.
In 2019, I reduced my hours at Northampton Area Pediatrics to allow more time for family and travel. My wife Donna and I greatly enjoy being with our three grandchildren as well as traveling to fascinating parts of the world, as this picture shows when we visited Caesarea, Israel. Soon I look forward to hiking the Camino through the French Pyrenees across northern Spain.
At the same time, I confess that I do miss the rhythms and joys of full time work. This is because I have been privileged to be the primary care physician for so many wonderful children and their families over the past 40 years. Although my reduced schedule does not allow me to continue to serve as the primary care physician for any children, I will still be working at NAP when covering for my fellow physicians if they are on vacation, consulting with them for questions about any child, and generally being available for anyone through our NAP portal or by phone whenever I am in the country. In this way, I hope to continue to see many parents and children whom I have known and cared for over the years.
