NAP All Stars participate in the Garden's 10th Annual Walk to Remember
A team of 17 Northampton Area Pediatrics Employees and their family members helped raise money for the Garden by participating in their 1 mile walk on Sunday morning, June 7th.
Annette Mercier, a long-time NAP employee, united NAP employees and their families on a beautiful Sunday morning, enthusiastic to help raise money for the wonderful Northampton-based organization, the Garden. The walk began at 9:30 am, and the group gathered at NAP at 8:00 am for team T-shirts.
“A Walk/Run to Remember” gives the community an opportunity to share memories and tell stories about deceased loved ones. All walkers and runners from the tri-county area remember those in their lives who have died. All proceeds raised benefit The Garden as they support bereaved children and teens.
The Garden -- a Center for Grieving Children and Teens is a non-profit agency providing support to young people and their families, a place to talk about loss and help parents and guardians learn how to help their children through their grief. At The Garden, the focus is the child - and our programs and discussion groups are geared toward helping young people identify and share their feelings and begin the healing process. Yet the program is for the whole family: while groups of children get together to share stories, feelings, and memories with each other, parents and guardians meet separately for a chance to discuss their own concerns facing them and their families.
