Office Hours
Our office hours are designed to meet the needs of parents, children, and families.
Weekdays

Northampton Area Pediatrics is open in both Amherst and Northampton from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for both well and sick visits.
We have designated 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM Monday through Friday as the "walk-in" time. If your child becomes ill overnight or his condition changes and you would like him to be seen, you can come to our office without an appointment and be seen first thing in the morning.
Evenings
NEW! Urgent care evening hours are from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, in our Northampton office. If there is an ongoing issue for which you would like your child seen, please schedule a daytime appointment with your child's regular doctor. Call our office or answering service for an evening appointment.
Weekends
We are available for emergencies at any time. Please do not hesitate to call if you are concerned about your child. You are, after all, the best judge of your child's condition.
We are also open in our Northampton office on weekends and holidays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM to be available to our patients 365 days a year. These days are open for sick visits and injuries. Contact our answering service (413-584-8700) to schedule an appointment. There are no weekend walk-in hours.
We have HOLIDAY HOURS on the following days: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
After Hours
If you need advice after 8 PM, call our main number 413-584-8700 and your call will be taken by the Pediatric Nurse Call Service. Our nursing staff is very capable and can answer many questions about the care of your child. However, if you wish to speak to a doctor, let the receptionist know and she will have the doctor return your call. A pediatrician from our practice is available for emergencies at all times. Non-urgent or routine calls and visits should be made during regular office hours.
