Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Chelsea Spindel, CPNP

I grew up in a small town in central Massachusetts and went to college at UMass Lowell for nursing. I started my nursing career working as a nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. After about 5 years there, I became a travel nurse in all areas of pediatrics across the country. My favorite thing about being a nurse was the relationships I made with people and their families. I wanted to be involved in families’ lives for longer than a hospital stay and decided to become a Nurse Practitioner. I returned to Boston for Nurse Practitioner School at Boston College, and during this time I worked at Boston Children’s Hospital. I ended up staying there as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner for 10 years. My love for adventure, outdoors and exploration has led me to volunteer as a nurse in more than 6 countries, and I have been lucky to travel on my own to many more. I am most interested in community and global health as well as compassionate and holistic care. I have completed additional training in functional medicine, and I am excited to see where that takes me. I am looking forward to becoming a member of the community at NAP and beyond!

When I am not working, my favorite things to do are play outside, spend time with my family and friends as well as read, write, and paint. You will likely find me outside exploring the trails, farmers markets and most delicious ice cream places. I love all things nature and am looking forward to discovering the Pioneer Valley.
