Blue Cross Blue Shield Scoring Data for 2012

Northampton Area Pediatrics scored very well on BCBS “provider clinical quality data” as well as the patient experience survey results.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBS) scores physicians and provides this information to patients on the BCBS website.  BCBS uses eight clinically important measures to collect its clinical quality data and also collects patient experience survey results on a bi-annual basis.  For 2012 data, physicians are now given a total score for their entire practice, as opposed to individual physician results.

A 4 star rating is the maximum on the BCBS scale.  Northampton Area Pediatrics had a 4 star rating for all measures of patient experience and a 3 star rating for the number of well child visits during the rating period.  We are working hard to improve access and having children come in on time for their well child visits.
