All visit types, including well child checks, sick visits, or recheck appointments, are scheduled during the weekdays.
We provide evening, weekend, and holiday hours in our Northampton office for acutely sick children or children with emergencies to be seen immediately.
To best serve our patients, we are open seven days a week, 365 days a year. Click here for a printable holiday calendar.
We have clinical staff available to answer questions about the care of your child during our office hours. Before you call, please be ready to provide the following information:
- When did your child become ill?
- What are your child’s symptoms? (i.e. vomiting, earache)
- What is your child’s temperature?
- Birth – 1 Year: Rectal
- 1 Year – 4 Years: Rectal, axillary or ear thermometer
- 4 Years and up: Oral, axillary or ear thermometer. Fever strips are not accurate
- What have you done so far to relieve your child’s discomfort?
Please check your current prescription to determine if you have refills remaining. If you have refills remaining, please call your pharmacy to request the refill. If you do not have any refills remaining, please log onto our MyChart Patient Portal (link) to request the refill or leave us a message including your child’s name, date of birth, name and dose of the medication and the best contact number to reach you. Please allow 48 to 72 hours for us to process this refill request. Your prescription will be sent to your pharmacy electronically.
Please use your portal to request a prescription refill, send a message to your provider, send a picture, or schedule a well visit.
We understand occasional circumstances prevent you from keeping your scheduled appointment. If possible, please notify our office in advance if you are running late or unable to make your appointment. Our scheduling staff will do their best to re-schedule you promptly.
Walk-In Hours (*suspended until further notice)
We have designated 8:00 am to 8:30 am Monday through Friday as the “walk-in” time in both of our offices. If your child becomes ill overnight or his/her condition changes and you would like him/her to be seen, you can come to either of our offices without an appointment and be seen first thing in the morning.
Urgent care evening hours are by appointment from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in our Northampton office. If there is an ongoing issue for which you would like your child seen, please schedule a daytime appointment with your child’s regular provider.
We are available to see your sick child by appointment from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on the weekends in our Northampton office. Please do not hesitate to call if you are concerned about your child. You are, after all, the best judge of your child’s condition.
NAP observes the following holidays with limited hours in our Northampton office: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. All sick visits during these hours are by appointment only.
If you need advice after 7:00 pm, call our main number 413-584-8700 and your call will be taken by the Pediatric Nurse Call Service. Our nursing staff is very capable and can answer many questions about the care of your child. However, if you wish to speak to a doctor, let the receptionist know and she will have the doctor return your call. A pediatrician from our office is always available for emergencies. Non-urgent or routine calls and visits should be made during regular office hours.
Please call our office at (413) 584-8700 to schedule an appointment. For non-urgent questions, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org
