A Letter from Dr. Kenny 11.20.18:
Dear NAP families,
Beginning January 1, 2019, I will be reducing my hours at Northampton Area Pediatrics to allow more time for travel, for family, and to walk the Camino across northern Spain.
It has been my privilege to be the primary care physician, as well as part of the NAP team, taking care of so many wonderful children and their families over the past 40 years. Although my reduced schedule will not allow me to continue to serve as the primary care physician for NAP children, I will still work at NAP for short times covering for my fellow physicians when they are away, consulting with them for questions about any child, and generally being available through our NAP portal or by phone whenever I am in the country.
Forty years ago I started Northampton Area Pediatrics as a solo pediatrician. During the last four decades I have been immensely pleased to witness the growth of the practice. From the beginning and through the years NAP has been blessed to include so many wonderful staff who help our excellent pediatricians and nurse practitioners, all of whom are dedicated every day of the year to serving the children and families of our community.
A new pediatrician, Dr. Amy Case, will be joining NAP in the coming month. Dr. Case will be available to become the primary care physician for many of the children currently under my care. Our staff will be updating the primary care provider for my patients over the coming months as you are seen or call our office.
I wish you all good health and happiness in the years ahead, and look forward to continuing to see many of you as I cover for my colleagues on some of the weekends, evenings, or daytimes when they may be away.
Sincerely,
Dr. Peter Kenny
