I grew up in the Green Mountains of northern Vermont, the daughter of a lactation consultant and a chef. Perhaps unsurprisingly, I love working with babies and their families, and I love food!
I live in Amherst with my husband, Andy, our children, Callum and Drea, and our dog, Kona. We like living in a vibrantly diverse college community, enjoy biking on the Rail Trail, hiking at the local state parks, and love spending time by the ocean.
In the years I’ve worked as a lactation consultant, I’ve learned so much from babies and families. I am honored to support them and humbled by the sentience and presence of even the tiniest newborn. I continue to practice under the philosophy that healthcare is most optimally provided when approached holistically. This is one of the reasons I like working with babies and their families---in the early days and weeks, and especially with breastfeeding; it is so important to consider the connection between mother and baby, between gestation and the world outside the womb, and between the physical and the emotional.
I am honored to work with the skilled providers and staff at Northampton Area Pediatrics and to have the opportunity to complement the amazing care they provide for families.
