Dear NAP Families,
We are so excited to announce that our Acute Care area will be opening on Monday, April 3rd!! Thank you all for your patience as we completed our renovations. We really hope this new space will provide a more defined area for separating sick and well patients, with better physical access and a flexible number of rooms so we can adapt to meet the different needs of each season.
When you arrive at our Northampton office for an Acute Care visit, please park in front or to the right of the building. There will be signs posted in these areas with instructions to call into the office to check in for your appointment. You will then be asked to come into the main entrance or wait to be called into the VIP entrance – the yellow door on the front side of the building.
As a reminder, Acute Care visits are for urgent concerns that can be addressed in a 10 minute appointment by whichever of our providers is working in this area. It should not be used for chronic issue follow-up or new complex problems that need to be managed by your primary care provider.
Appointments for an Acute Care visit can be scheduled up to 24 hours in advance through the MyChart portal or by calling our main number and speaking with our appointment team. We will continue to offer some virtual visit “walk in” appointments each morning from 8-9 am that can only be scheduled through MyChart.
On an unrelated note, Covid-19 bivalent booster vaccines have now been approved for all children ages 6 months – 4 years who have completed their primary series and who had their last primary series dose at least 2 months ago. If you are interested in scheduling an appointment for your child to receive a Covid vaccine, please contact our office.
