Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Jenny Miller Sechler social worker.

Hello! My name is Jenny Miller Sechler, and I am a clinical social worker on the Integrated Behavioral Health team with a specialty in eating disorders.

I have 25 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a variety of settings, including community mental health clinics, eating disorder programs, and private practice.  I love that my job mostly consists of having meaningful conversations, when I’m not playing Trouble or drawing funny pictures. Parents are a crucial part of their children’s mental health recovery, especially with eating disorders. I enjoy getting creative with parents and helping them support their children in ways that fit their family’s unique needs and circumstances.

As a clinical social worker, I also pay close attention to how my clients’ social environment impacts their experience in the world and unfortunately, our culture’s attitudes about food, diet, and bodies greatly impact how we perceive ourselves and are perceived by others.  This is a challenge for parents and others who support and love children and want them to have a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. I am committed to being part of this work and a resource for parents and those in the wider community.

In my spare time, you can find me at one of the many great art museums in western Massachusetts, particularly the Mass MoCA, when I’m not reading, singing, hiking, or listening to assorted podcasts about history and philosophy.
